Pontiac G8: Great Ride!

Rented a new G8 GT last week. Only had it for a day, mostly in Chicago traffic, but this is one of the nicest domestics I've driven in a long, long time.
Decent seats (not Saab quality, but OK).
Lots of poke from a V8. Yes, it seems generally quicker that a turbo 4.
Good ride and handling. Decent steering feedback, ride firm but not harsh.
Reasonable ergonomics, and the window switches are in the right place: on the console.
The radio was hard to figure out, as was the car computer, but I have to say this was a real good car. Felt almost Saab-ish, and I was thinking this is what a 9-5 could be, if it had some of the refinements of the 9-5. Wish the back seat folded down.
But it was also cheap: The silver plastic on the steering wheel spokes was already coming off. I could scratch it with a fingernail and it would scrape right off. Car had only 8K on it, so it's not wear and tear.
Was in a lot of traffic so mileage sucked, but Pontiac claims 17-25 with this car and engine. However, for having 160 more horses than my 12 year old 9000, it didn't seem a lot faster.
Gotta rent one again when I can spend more time in it.
