I thought it looked sorta OK in photos and in Transformers, but I saw several a couple weeks back in Oregon. Avis rents them and while I didn't drive one, I looked at them closely and sat in one.
To me it looks like an inflated version of the '69. That's fine, but I think the proportions are all wrong and I can't find an angle where the car really looks right. A Chevy-loving friend was all excited about it, was looking at buying one, until he went to a dealer and saw it live.
I thought the interior was terrible. It has a retro look and feel but they didn't carry it off very well. Maybe it's because I'm 6'2", but the windshield is too low, so outward visibility isn't very good. And the greenhouse is too small, so it made me feel like I was encased in the car. I know that's a personal preference thing, but it didn't work for me.
By comparison, and from a performance perspective, the Pontiac G8 (which I spent a day in last fall) was much nicer inside and out, with similar performance/dollar values.
