Frame rails, doors, floor pans, trunk floor, rocker panels, front fenders, rear fenders... you get the idea. I've had a Midget and a B, but the problems (real and potential) are the same

Then "normal" old car stuff. Does the engine run? how does it sound? Clutch work OK? Gears shift OK? Brakes, shocks. What's the wiring like? There are numerous MG clubs, some devoted to model lines, so check those out for the real details on an A.

A 50+ year old British sports car can be great. Or can be a great money pit. Moss Motors has all the parts you'll ever need, but assuming it's not a rust bucket it can be a fine project car. A friend of mine made a career there, has a pre-war MG collection. He's away right now so I can't find out more about an A.
