The manual transmission cars have a 2 second hill assist that holds the car when you take your foot off the brake. Even my automatic transmission Encore has it. If you are familar to manual transmissions you won't even know it is happening. Another neat feature of the awkward electronic parking brake is with the manual transmissions it will automatic release when the clutch and throttle sensors move.
That is quite a deal on the ATS with incentives since it was priced where the Aero's were. The deals on used 2.0T Regal, ATS, and Verano are just like used Saabs, very good used prices if you shop. Add in manual transmission and you can find quite the deal.
I don't have a need for a Camaro but the V6 is no slouch. Might as well look at the Mustang too as it should have a sporty feel due to the lighter weight than the Camaro. Not sure what the car is being used for or what time span he'll keep it but he probably won't be riding in one car for 300K miles. :)
