Dabbling in the car business can be pretty dodgy, especially when it comes something like Ferraris. There's a lot of wrinkles when it comes to buying and selling them and it's an exceedingly small (and very fickle) market. Sometimes finding the right buyer can be very difficult--how many people in a two hundred mile radius are genuine players for something like that? Even in the whole country it might still be a small number. If the idea is to buy one, drive it for a while, then sell it for a profit, also keep in mind that even relatively minor mechanical issues can run the whole operation right off the rails. Finally I think semi-classic cars like that have a real problem. There's horsepower war going on and even the aforementioned pickup trucks/SUV's can be had with 400 and 500 horsepower. 40K can put you and a Mustang/Camero/Challenger that'll leave the Ferrari for dead. Hell a Ford Focus with the right options can dust a lot performance cars from just a few years ago.
