I think it'll all come in time - right now the technology really isn't there to offer big output and good range on a reasonable budget. You have all sorts of cars being offered with various forms of electric assist, but they're all really pricey. Appliance-y electric cars are the best we can do right now at "normal people money" - glorified golf carts, more or less. I mean, I *love* our glorified golf cart, don't get me wrong, but I also accept it for what it is. :) But, seriously, if the i3 was on the table a year and a half ago I think it's what we'd have gone for. I am seriously hoping the very favorable lease deals exist in another year and a half.
