I did this on my 95 aero and it was the best single upgrade next to the ECU. I found that when I added the rest of the 3 in exhaust, I didn't gain that much more noticeable improvement exept above 4000 rpms, and the turbo feel became more linear and it felt a bit weaker under 2500 rpms. For half the price of a full exhaust you get more than half the benefit. and like greenhobby said, it has to be put in just right or they take away from the quality feel of the car.
