Is to find (maybe have constructed) an over/under system where both the A/C condensor and the Intercooler see full fresh air. Both units would be half height, stacked above each other, and double thickness.
My concern with the aftermarket high-performance intercoolers is that they are typically sourced from Europe where A/C is not standard equipment. I fear, too much so to order one, they are too thick to fit in a US spec car with A/C installed. These high-performance intercoolers probably also occupy the space containing the A/C condensor in state-side (or European A/C equipped) 9-5's. Their extra depth has to go somewhere!
Since I know a few folks in the industrial Air Conditioning business, where condensors are often custom fabricated, all I need to provide them is a stock 9-5 Intercooler and A/C condensor, ganged together, from a wrecked car to use for dimensions. This new over/under system would require mocifications to the A/C piping to install it in a car, assuming the Intercooler sits on the bottom.
