If you're talking about the 9000, as far as I can tell from the parts catalogue (EPC - we are in TLA territory here!) the panels are basically identical and the real difference is in the combination instrument which includes the turbo gauge.
On cars from 1994 to 1998 just two different numbers show up, one for the turbo combination gauge (same for Aero and full-turbos eg. CSE) and one for the the LPT or V6 combination gauge (no turbo on the V6 so it had the same gauge as the LPT). The other panel assembly numbers seem to be the same - the numbers for the EDU do change with chassis numbers but the EPC seems to think they are interchangeable, assuming they are for the correct tranmission.
However, the 1992-93 cars seem to have different part numbers so there must have been some changes over the years. If you post the year of your car and the year of the "donor" panel I'll be happy to see if the part numbers on the EPC seem to check out.
Because the gauge is vacuum operated all you would then need is a suitable hose through the firewall.
