I like seeing guys try different things to see what works and maybe what works better and what works with different combo's. The NA manifold (longer runners)makes more torque sooner and at a lower rpm. Saab's 2.3 turbo as we all know are torque monsters. When doing a engine build up last summer I had the crankshaft knife-edged, lightened total weight now 29.8lbs along with lighter flywheel. Did it make more hp who knows does the car come on rpm and rev much quicker hell yes.
I looking at the na intake due to looking at going to a larger turbo. For the street kinda the berst of both worlds. More low end torque when the turbo is less efficient yet when the turbo is full on the increased cfm from larger turbo will still pull hard up top. Look at Kevins dyno sheet for the Wasaabi project.
Whe it's all said and done the SAAB is the ultimate sleeper. No one ever expects to smashed by a 10 plus year old SAAB let alone a 4cyl for the V8 die hearts.
