The monster is finally tuned!!! The car is an absolute beast. My daily driver stage iv 9000 aero now feels like a yugo. after coming home from soc 06 on sunday night i promptly installed the walbro 255 fuel pump to accomodate fueling demands. the rc injectors that i reordered were waiting for me at the post office. on monday i brought the car and injectors to paul(automotion) and frank(sqr) to get a custom tune for my new hardware. paul looked at the injectors and said, "franks not going to like those" well, he was right. frank threw the new injectors away and paul retrieved a new set of siemens injectors and installed them into the stock 9-5 fuel rail. tuning for the fueling was accomplished on monday and late in the day frank stated the the existing wastegate spring was too soft as baseboost was too low. paul overnighted a new spring from atp for tuesday so the boost could be sorted out as frank had to fly back to sweden later in the day. after installing the new spring, final tuning began. They came back smiling so i felt confident the tuning was a success. the car now boosts to 30psi and holds strong. it pulls hard to 3500 and then you just get wacked in the face. i used to think T7 cars could not be scary fast.....i was wrong. i can boil the tires off of the rims in 1st and 2nd.......rpms just bounce off the rev limiter. at 70 mph in third gear.....wheelspin is still a problem. sometimes i can even spin them in fourth. when i finally install the quaiffe lsd i'm sure things will be more in control. thanks guys for all your supportive comments and enthusiasm with the car. i'd also like to thank chris and tommy at woodworth saab and paul and boe at automotion as well as frank at sqr for all the help in making the 9-5 monster a success.
