Clipping is the process of removing material at the top corner of the turbine blade. This allows air to escape over the middle to top of the turbine. Cropping is removing equal material at the bottom/base of the blade which allows air to pass at the bottom. This makes more sense to me, less turbulent and more efficient. According to my turbo builder guru pal, it isn't as common of a practice because it is far more time consuming to do it right. I have pics of this from my old turbo(whih is in Nathan's car). 18T-6 with a mild crop. :o)
