Hi Gary, the only way it would be possible is if it was installed transversely like the NG900 and I can't imagine a C900 having enough engine compartment width to accommodate such a thing? I agree that the NG trany is stronger but I don't call engines with balance shafts thinner cross section rods and not nearly as strong of crankshaft (manufacturing wise) refined. On the other hand it's not common for a '91 up crank to break, I just don't like the new induction hardenable material over the early fully hardened cranks. Take care, Dave
