It's actually very accurate. All air going into the engine MUST pass through the AMM. If it doesn't, there is something wrong with your setup. The entire nature of all airflow-based fuel injection schemes relies on a sealed intake tract with a single point of entry. Without it, there is no accurate way to control fuel mixture.
LH 2.2 has no provision whatsoever for controlling overboost. It's about the most brain-dead fuel injection scheme there is. On Saabs built with LH 2.2, Saab simply wired in a pressure switch which overrides the ECU and cuts power to the fuel pump and fuel injectors to control overboost. It's simple and effective, but not terribly elegant, and horribly disconcerting to the driver.
