I sort of disagree about it being safe w/o the sodium filled exhaust valves. I know 5Psi doesn't sound like much but Saab used the valves for a reason. In my b-motor the guy before me was sold a N/A head and was told it was a turbo head. 2 out of 4 exhaust valves were burnt when i got the car about 25,000 miles later. That is only at 7psi of boost. And, I know the guy drove it like an old lady. If you install the turbo, I would plan on redoing the head in a timely manner to prevent a big let down.
