that's what i thought - full transplant the best Posted by Saabu [Email] (#1133) [Profile/Gallery] (more from Saabu) on Fri, 2 Mar 2007 11:48:04 In Reply to: Re: full 2.0 C900 turbo engine into '91 2.1L car (Kooch?), SWEDISH DYNAMICS, Fri, 2 Mar 2007 10:04:28 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
if running high boost... not scared of the job as i've done it already, and the wiring at the firewall is really just plug and play. IIRC the hardest part was fitting all the PS hoses and wiring thru the little hole by the PS reservoir!
I will probably swap out the entire fuse box, but do you know if i could leave the 2.1L injector wiring harness in the car, swap ECU's, and use the 2-pin AIC valve?
i noticed that there didnt seem to be any difference between 2.0L turbo and non-turbo injector harnesses on my vintage 86 swap... could have left the NA harness in there and avoided the PS reservoir challenge..
thanks Gary, by the way i used the SD chrome ring and Vandervell bearing kit in my notchback 900 project.
Someone recently gave me some Vandervell 99 main bearings (2 sets, oversize .020 and .030) made for Triumph!
