you must understand that the cryo treating itself isn't that expensive. It's mainly time in the box at liquid nitrogen temps levels. Bringing the components down, holding them there, and then bringing them up. It can be automated and lot of stuff done at the same time.
What COSTS is the disassembly and assembly of the transmission. Every seal and gasket is destroyed by the crytreat and must be removed and replaced after the cryotreat. One doesn't just drain the oil and drop the trans into liquid nitrogen overnight!!!
Cryotreating brake rotors, for example, runs about $40 plus the rotor last time I checked. If you race NASCAR, it's pretty much a mandatory situation. OTOH, street use with a slotted (I have a set of front KVR rotors from a few years back, forgot where I got them) rotor and Hawk HP+ pads (1987 brakes) work well without cryotreat.
Before I would cryotreat a 5-speed and the attendant assembly labor I'd spend the money on a rally 4-speed trans from Sweden.
