OK, we bought the wife a '99 9-3 2.0 auto turbo ragtop last year from TEXAS! We live in northern Vt. so we were looking for a rust free car, which we got. 89K needed an exaust and tires, so we uprated to 16" wheels and tires from the Tire Rack and the Saab sport exaust from Genuine. That fixed some of the immedaite problems. Me, being a 9K guy, still couldn't really stand driving the cat as it shook and shimmied all over the road (not to mention no place for your left foot) sooo....this spring, I installed new poly bushings in the front A arms and ARB, Genuine rear ARB, and 6 point brace along with the steering rack clamp.
I have to admit,those $600.00 plus worth of suspension goodies DID help, but it still does not handle, or ride, over 50MPH, like a SAAB, IMHO. On top of that, it's DEAD! My '97 9K CSE work car with 195,000, (stone stock) will walk all over it.
Like the overmaxed guy in the TV adds says....CAN SOMBODY HELP ME????
