Nitrous for 11's :-) Posted by John Williams [Email] (#1982) [Profile/Gallery] (more from John Williams) on Thu, 2 Aug 2007 09:13:42 In Reply to: Re: Oh it can take the stress..., Chad, Thu, 2 Aug 2007 08:58:47 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
I am stoked about this idea. I wanted a way to add another 100hp without going to a much larger turbo and haveing to deal with the extra lag of a huge gt3582. I love how my 2.3 ng900 drives on the street with the smaller gt3071 .64ar. Its totally drivable and is fun around town and still is good for 12's in the 1/4 mile.
The best way to get that extra 100hp for racing when needed and keep my good low end grunt is to use nitrous. This way I can have the 450whp when needed for racing and still drive it on the city streets. I think Jak was thinking the same thing in the begining. Anyway, I have been told twice by people to run direct port nitrous because the #1 cylinder will get more of the nitrous than the other cylinders and cause some issues there.
The last problem to solve for me is whether to run a secondary fuel pump in the engine bay or to just put in the walbro 255 in the tank?
