Using this intake is a matter of preference, generally it will give more mid-range torque, but sacrifice a little on the top. Given the torquey nature of these engines, that would not be a big must for me. The additional benefit is that the two piece design can keep the plenum cooler, but it may be easier to just find some phenolic material and make a spacer to achieve that.
