That is correct to an extent, typically speaking 40-42lb injectors are about a big as you can run with LH. There may be some wizards in Sweden who have run bigger and been able to pull a smooth idle, but frankly no one over their cares about LH anymore. Over here, SD was some LH chips, and Jak is the only person who seems to be customizing LH anymore.
As a very general rule of thumb, your max supported crank hp can be calculated by injector lb/hr rating x number of injectors x 2. Meaning that you can safely get to about 300-310bhp. I have seen many Saabs max a bit more HP than their injector size mathematically would dictate as being safe/possible.
There are four basic ways of dealing your fueling issue. One is a rising rate fuel pressure regulator. This will raise the effective rate of the injetors under boost and reduce it under vacuum. The main issue with this kind of set up it was put best by whoever described it as "surgery with sledge hammer" the change in fueling can be dramatic and difficult to precisely control.
Another possibility is water injection. These systems range from simple boost trigger set-ups, to high powered ecu's that offer 3-D mapping. The biggest advantage here is that you can run a much leaner mixture to achieve power, which not only reduces your need for larger injectors, it will give you better MPG when tuned.
You can also start to mess with the ecu itself, by adding secondary injectors and a piggyback controller - I wouldn't recommend.
Or give the guys at Automotion a call and ask about a t5 converstion. T5 is relatively easy to tune are there are off the shelf maps for virtually every turbo/injector combination you can think off. Your power will only be limited by the size of turbo and injector you want.
