John, forgive me, I'm treading on shaky ground here, but are you sure about this? My February 1993 CSE automatic (European spec) had Trionic, but it wasn't T5, more like a first effort which was re-worked for the 1994 model year. This is why so few tuners apart from Maptun will take on 1993 cars. Maybe it was different for Aeros. But I do see from the EPC that the Trionic ECUs for 1993 Aeros are different from the 1994 Aeros.
Also, it it correct that the 1993 Aero engine is the new "short-block" version that appeared for the 1994 model year? Just asking - I'd never read that before, and simply don't know.
It's possible that US spec was different, of course.
Maptun are very well respected and if there is any doubt about what they will do, the best thing is to call them (Johnny Johansson apeaks good English) and talk about it.
The Maptun site does have comments about modifying older cars, which Smeter will surely read. Basically it's common sense, which we all know - fitting a tuned ECU will not magically transform, renew or warrant other elements of the car/engine, so if they're stuffed to start with, they will fail, and they may fail anyway, stuffed or not.
