As far as I can see the main difference is that the Ferrita is stainless steel and the JT aluminised steel. There's nothing in the price with the race catalyst, and both seem to be full 3" (the Ferrita for the 9000 is partly 2.5%).

I had a full 3" JT system on my 9000, and that did make a bit more noise but I imagine you are keeping all the boxes from the cat back so it should be minimal - would expect the stainless sytem to be a tiny bit noisier than the aluminised steel.

My JT was well made and lasted well, apart from rust at the flex section - however that was some years back and newer models have stainless flex sections. Also, I had to take care of a few leaks at clamped joints on the JT but once again the solution is a band clamp. The Ferrita joint seems to be bolted together, no problem.

As I posted in December, I'd personally expect say 5 bhp from the downpipe and another 5 from a full system but others say to expect more, and you do already have some tuned software. Don't forget that if you bought the software from Maptun and you are now buying a downpipe from them, they may offer a deal on a software upgrade to get the best from the downpipe - well worth asking.

Just looking at the web site, both are good but the Ferrita looks extra tempting because it's stainless! But let's hope other who actually own these systems for the 9-5 will post.

Why not give Maptun a call for their own opinion? They're available and helpful.
