John, the way I understand surge and what pertains to my situation is when the compressor spits out more air than the engine can swallow, which causes a backup of air at the intake and it actually creates reversal lowering pressure waves. This can be caused by the turbo inducer/exducer match? I only recently read this today after doing a search. But whatever, I still dont know for sure. I held high consistant presures of 16, 18, 20 somewhat constant without this 5 lbs variation of surge prior to my FMIC.
