I tried the upgrade on my 9000 aero, thinking that cross drilled would give me better performance, and for the first few hundred miles they were, but then they quickly reverted to just marginal brakes. I learned that I was not smarter than the Saab engineers.
I just did the brakes on my wifes Viggen. Stayed stock on rotors, but I did put on ceramic pads, and those are great. No dust, lots of stopping power. The pads were about $10 more than stock. They have been on the car for about 2000 miles, so I can't speak about longevity.
