Well, as I understand it the fuel cutoff point is built into the ECU. You are fooling the ECU with the MBC anyway. Actually, looking at other posts here I see that on a 9000 (non-Aero) you could expect say 19 psi before experiencing fuel cutoff. That's two times what you're running.
Usual advice would be to return the car to standard before troubleshooting, then be systematic. The boost levels you are running are pretty low by 9000 standards - even my automatic CSE gets its 200bhp by boosting to .8 bar, say 11 psi, as standard. Your car could have major fuelling issues, but you could just have dud plugs, poor fuel and a dirty air filter to cause the boost trim. Have you checked the basics recently?
Turning down the MBC hasn't cured the problem, it's just stopped you reaching the boost level at which it happens. The advantage of the BPC + ECU route is that it's standard issue.
