At what point do I need forged pistons?

I have a 2001 Saab 9-3. It has the basic bolt-ons and I just started tuning the software. I know I can make somewhere around 280 bhp a not worry about the pistons disintegrating, but at what point do I need to upgrade them HP and PSI (boost) wise?
Also, is there anything else that should be swapped out while I have the engine apart to prepare for the extra HP?
P.S. - I have no HP goal, I'm just gonna keep upgrading it until I run out of money or regain common sense. :)
