The 'stages' aren't official or standardized, e.g. one supplier's Stage 1 might be faster than another's Stage 2. The suppliers/advertisers on Saabnet seem to know one another and probably know the other's products, so ask. I think the only debate is a rising rate fuel pressure regulator v. ECU. I opted for the second.
Also, you can improve the intercooler without the front mount, but that depends on your "stage".
Mainly, define the "Stage" yourself and balance the new components. If all you did was the APC, then you'd get more hp. But if you upgraded all of: turbo, intercooler, fuel pressure, injectors, APC, ECU, and exhaust, you would be using all of those to better potential. Order in which I did it on my C900: 3" exhaust (needed anyway), APC, injectors (easy to figure out for a no-longer-professional mechanic) 3 bar FPR, ECU (prototype rising rate didn't work) and Mitsu-modified intercooler in original location, but with new plumbing. I have yet to install the new ignition diaphragm. Stage? 1.5? Maybe 235 hp (255 on a g-meter).
Also consider you'll need to get the power to the road, so check your wheels & tires.
I killed two trannys and have since retired the convertible to the vacation home and replaced the daily driver with a Turbo-X (more expensive, way better performing than a C900, but I'm now wondering how good the drivetrain warranty will be in 4 years!)
Vendors: mostly Saabnet advertisers -- Jak Stoll, Genuine Saab, Swedish Dynamics, Dave at Lesco, except for intake plumbing (Aircraft Spruce and Stylin Motors).
