Just my 2 cents. I thought that turbo cams were made to hold back exhaust gasses to help the turbo spool. If you use a n/a cam that would help to increase the torque of the basic engine. Much like bolting a turbo on a 2.1l. I do alot of swapping on my race cars but we only run n/a engine not turbos. If you build a good engine with 160 hp and turbo with methanal injection on hobe switches I would think low boost would give more horse power as the basic engine would have more torque using the chevy big block theary. Short stroke and big bore. The race engine we use have far more torque than horse power.
