The BPCV is fine. The waste gate was stuck and caused the overboost.

The first time the engine blew 3 yrs ago, I foolishly and accidentally over revved it in 2nd gear. I think it skipped time. Intake valve and piston clashed. I was in a bad location with no cell service. Engine seized 1 mile from home.

The used engine I bought was advertised as 82K from a 2000 9-5 aero. It was junk. Head gasket was bad and blew 2 months later. Discovered timing/ balance shaft chain and guides were worn. Replaced all including gears/ sprockets. I realize I should have checked over before install. So 500 bucks in parts and all my spare time from Mon-Friday and I was proudly back on the road.

I took it easy for the first 500 miles. On the road for a week and overboost melted piston 1.
