A TD04HL19T is just a TD04 15T with a larger compressor cartridge. I think the largest on a stock volvo was 18T and there are some differences that would not make it "direct bolt on" but nothing undo able. Plus what Volvo ever came with 400HP? I thought these 18T 2.3 motor was around 250HP stock.. About the same as a viggen?

I see that the Volvo units have another Vacuum Diaphragm of some sort on the turbo compressor outlet.. Is this a dual waste gate? http://www.hulsenturbotuning.nl/Mhi_td04hl-19t.htm here is a picture.

Also here is video pics of this 19T unit on a Saab 9-3on youtube http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XbSCM5O4nOo&feature=fvsr you can see the turbo at 49sec. The angled exhaust pipe looks like a nice fit. Also larger 3 inch outlet. There is a Manifold to turbo adapter plate that is needed as the Volvo unit has a T3 flange.

I agree with you Jak that this set up may be too much turbo for my needs. The gist of my question is more that if I can find a good volvo unit at the pick pull inspect clean and or rebuild myself this seems like a good low cost upgrade... especially if I go to the trouble of pulling a Saab TD04 15T unit. It also sounds like I could pull this 15T unit and have the housing ported to accept the 19T compressor Cartridge and turbine.

Not only do I want 250FWHP but I want a lot more RPM Range. The T25 and TD04 15T seem like they are for 2500-4000RPM. Something seems safer to me in running a TD04 19T with conservative settings (boost etc) than pushing a 15T to its limits.
