I have a set of Turbo vert springs I'd like to chop. I've seen comments a few years ago about one coil removed lowers about 1 inch and with one coil gone the ride stays about the same. I'd like to drop the front of my 91T about one inch. If I had a pair of stock SPG springs they would do it-but I don't. I'm not interested in more than a 1 inch drop and I want to leave the rear alone. When I look at the vert springs they have a reduction in the coil on each end so the spring meshes with the molded area in the rubber support. It looks like the end of the chopped coil would no longer mesh with the rubber support and the support would be rapidly chewed.
