is the '91 a Kokill chillcast box? I know those are the ones to look for, as far as I've heard. With any sub-par transmission (sorry, but this counts c900 trannies, 95/96/97 trannies, etc) I would really make a solid effort to make it work less hard to accomplish the same thing; try to cut down on unnecesary weight. I know that doesn't leave many options if you're not ok with a gutted car, but try to get creative when you can. Lightweight wheels, a smaller battery, removing the spare tire, gutting the trunk (where you wouldn't see it unless the hatch is open), all that kind of stuff. Normally it's not worth it, but when you're trying to squeeze every ounce of strength out of a transmission, I think it's worth looking at.
