Make sure the lower plastic cover is intact behind the air dam. Stuff round foam pipe insulation around the edges of the radiator to make all the air go thru it rather than around, mine has stayed in place for years with no tape. Run a strip of black duct tape over the top of the intercooler/radiator gap. I even cut out the plastic fender liners and installed 6X8 in louvres, don't know if they flow at speed, but a ton of air comes out when sitting and fans are on. And you can jump the AC fan to come on with the low speed fan. And make sure the fan control, depending on the year, is synched with the thermostat temp, if it has the sensor on the radiator, these are generic Bosch and you can play around with different ones to get it just right, mine is for a VW Van. I have found the temp stays much more stable with both fans coming on with the low speed switch, rather than letting it climb to high. I also deleted the TB heat hoses.
