Sure does seem ridiculous! The OEM Racing Dynamics wheels on the Viggen are pretty sturdy. You would really have to hit them hard to cause that kind of damage. Also what about sidewall of tires. I suggest you go to a retailer of high end wheels/max performance tires for upscale autos who have superior balancing machines and know how than usual bargin tire shops including many dealers. Have your wheels rebalanced, get his comments and see how the car drives. If it eliminates the shimmie then you have solved the problem for an incremental cost. If not then press the dealer and Saab corporate for resolution. Remember they will probably counter with the pothole, etc., driving.
