I have had a similar idea cooking in my head for a while but with a few variations; fuel pump driving an 8v cold start valve (in it's original position) and including a FPR. I would actuate it by an adjusted fuel cut off switch with the pressure taken from the manifold ( avoiding delivery on over run) I would use a fuel pump relay as this is a bit more sophisticated than the an ordinary relay as it senses load. It's a very simple system - possible problems mixing water/screenwash/alcahol with the fuel pump, cold start valve and FPR (corrosion?) and I'm not sure if just before the TP is better or worse than nearer the IC. I wouldn't bother with a throttle switch as you can get full or very wide throttle positions with little boost - water at this point would be either wastefull or actualy power reducing - I think a pressure threshhold is the only actuator you need. The addition of an FPR would hold the delivery in parralel with the boost. It would also alow you to more accuratley work out the volume of delivery (measuring cylinder and stopwatch) if you have the data for the volume of water vs heat/boost etc.All the parts can be sourced very cheaply from a breakers yard - much cheaper than an aquamist system. Will I get round to doing it? - probably not as my present power (steady at 1/3 in the red) is all I need and I have got it with a RRFPR APC exhaust and intake mods - if I wanted to 'hold' and not just peak more boost I would definatley do it.
