Shaun: I echo Kevin K's thoughts on engine management. Hope you have it sorted, and thanks for taking one for the team regarding PAECO. I hear that name and I equate it to the plague. And if you have to head over there, Godspeed.
Eric: my first built motor was all good for about 10,000km before that one wristpin went. Weird. Thanks to my engine builder and JE for coughing up a new set of pistons. I'm glad you like the cams, you got me all excited saying the motor sounds like a Lancer Evolution at the top end! :) I dunno about slapping in a new factory rebuild, dunno how much that would cost. Has Kevin K blowed up a 13B yet? I know Mazda rebuilds are relatively cheap, say C$3000 and you're done. My friend's gone through two on his FC.
B234's an awesome motor, I drove my first one just a few weeks ago on a Canadian market '91 9000T SPG. But daamn...getting into the side to do the balance shaft sprocket doesn't look like fun. Likely going to do that within the next few months as my friend will be purchasing said 9kT SPG...
