I also had the A520's & I think they suck! Their dry handling was OK/average but their mileaga wasn't bvery good compared to newer hi perf tires. If you want a low priced performance tire get the yokohama AVS Intermediate! It will last around the same miles as the A520 & it will get a LOT better wet & dry traction as well as being QUIET! I would think even with your exh system you would still hear the tires groan, they ARE that bad!!

The toyo T1s is more on the level of the S0-3, AVS Sport, P-zero as well as a few others. It's several steps above the A520 & with the power you will be getting with your car you might need a tire like that. I have Yokohama Parada's which are much better then the A520's but I do get very slight wheel spin in 2nd gear. Thus I will need to get a better tire next time around.
