Well---
I'm speaking for myself -- as well as many others.. most of the time, when you experience some performance gain, you want more, and more, etc. I'm just worried for your Carlsson that you might want more later, your APC won't be able to detect detonation... then BOOM... no more Carlsson. Detonation is very unforgiving. I don't want to see "Carlsson parts for sale" on TSN's classified section anytime soon.
I'm not saying you're necessarily going to turn up the boost the whole way, but in my opinion... it would be hard to keep it down when I would want to go faster and faster.
My own personal preference... if I had a Carlsson.. get it tuned to factory Carlsson specs and then work from there. The Dawes Devic valve will help with quicker spool up, but should not be replacing the APC &OR ECU. The Carlsson's are too great to take the guess and check route on. In fact, if I had a Carlsson, I would probably leave it Carlsson-spec stock. That's just me.
You can easily find an ECU for your 9000 very cheap. I just bought an APC for my 90 SPG for $10 a few days ago. Complete SPG panels and brackets for $80. Try junkyards who don't know SAABs. Remove the ECU from the car yourself (saves the junkyard labor time - they're usually lazy), throw some cash in their faces (and tell them that's all you've got! - I've never walked out of a junkyard with nothing after showing them the cash), and you'll definatly get a good deal.
Also--
Could you drop me an email? I have some questions (completely different topic) that I'd like to ask you about.
Thanks so much & good luck!
Taylor
