OK. I've turned back the boost on my Dawes device pretty far back and I'm still, with the pedal mashed to the floor, boosting 1/2 to 2/3 into the red and hitting on some occasions the fuel cutoff. I don't get a check engine light immediately after this happens, but a day or so later, it comes on, stays on for a few days, and then goes away. I don't know if it is related or not. Any guesses? The specs are as follows:

1999 9-3 SE
71,000 miles
5-speed
Mods: Dawes device

So the questions are:

1. Why am I suddenly hitting fuel cut off with my turbo? The car had worked flawlessly with the Dawes device for a year until about two months ago when this fuel cutoff problem came about. I have made no other mod's before or since and the plugs are all new, properly gaped, blah, blah.

2. What the hell is this check engine light all about? It stays solid (no blinking) and comes on without warning (I was in the middle of a four hour ride yesterday and it just came on in the middle of the drive. No other symptoms, not overboost, etc.). Do I have a bad O2 sensor? This does not seem to effect the performance of the vehicle in any way.

3. Maybe the breather hole on my Dawes is plugged? Anyone else have one of these and have any maintenance issues with it? Time to replace the $35 20 hp boost? Do I need to switch the direction in which I installed it? I believe I have it opposite what they recommend based on feedback I saw here on this site. Opinions?
