Hi BobS !
OK, now I understand your answer !
I understand that it's not a simple resistor device, ( understood that b4 I answerd this thread) I've seen quite a few "interesting" devices like yours with a few resistors and zenerdiodes. (quite scary)

Let my explain a few things, from my horizon engines will have to pass all kinds of "torture tests", during different climates and conditions.
I'm not sure that all Saab drivers really understand all the tests that we perform in order to make the systems safe.
With this knowledge it's hard for me to "accept" a device that manipulates the inputs of the system.
But on the other hand, some tuning ECM's that can be found on the market are not any better then a simple resistor hack.....

My point is that the T5Boost4 can not be considered as a 100 % safe device, but starting the engine is not 100 % safe either :-)
So, so it's not too hot outside and if the fuel quality is GOOD and there is noting wrong with the engine (and related components) it's not that bad, but for me it's difficult to use the word "safe".

There are a "few" other things that needs to be commented, fuelmass and ignition timing is based on MAP sensor input, if you manipulate the inputs of a calulation the result will not be correct.
OK, we can live with some deviations....?

And BobS, as long as you, and other tuning companies claim that their product is safe, with all the "standard protection features" it's difficult for me to be "positive".
With my definition of safe, it's not.
But will engines break as soon as a T5Boost4 is installed ?
Well, probably not ! :-)

Today we have a nice day, the sun is shining, and I've got a real pain in my spine.... :-( (I'm at home)
So, I will try to take a walk !
