Doing this is illegal in most states as your engine will be letting oil out into the atmosphere. That is why the breather hose is vented into the intake so the engine burns off what it can. The power gain to be had is in the reduction of pressure and therefore friction in the crank case. I am not trying to lecture you on the legal thing, just letting you know, just in case you didn't.
