Hey Tyler, great to hear about the APC upgraded performance. Keep an eye on the boost needle; with the APC operational it is the best built-in feedback you can get since you are basically looking directly at the knock sensor operation when the needle starts cycling up/down.
The good news is that you can continue improving the system. For timing you have many options like 1) simply turning your existing distrib more retarded - but low end response will suffer 2) cutting the stop back so the diaphragm retard leg can travel further 3) the AID unit from SPG9/Lesco 4) Saab tuning kit distributor 5) MSD Boost Timing Master.
Fuel control is simpler, or at least there are fewer options. A 3.0bar FPR off of a non-turbo model is a start, or you can buy aftermarket units that are rising rate and/or adjustable. Of course use premium fuel and you might experiment with octane boosters. As mentioned before you can go with larger injectors and a resistor in the AMM signal line too!
Search the board with keywords from above and you should have enough info to decide what (if anything) you want to pursue. DS
