some real experience with boost

From someone who has "obliterated the ring and pinion" and "melted a piston" and "taken out a third gear syncro" (very easy to do) on a 9000 Aero I think I can coment on the boost controler/ ecu question. My car is a
95 9000 Aero, Abbott ECU,Quaife LSD, Abbott exaust with down pipe and cat bypass blow off valve ect... I've tried about everything...but still looking for the elusive combination.
1. 1st gear torque limiting is a great idea. Wish I could have it on my 9000
2. 2nd gear torque limiting sucks, the most explosive ride in my car is the 3000 to 6000 rpm run at max boost. ie 30- to 60 mph in 2.82 seconds.
3. Waiting for saab to get a real gear box instead of a touring car box.
4. Still fell the 95 9000 Aero is the best begining plstform for a modified saab bacause:
a. weight 3180 lbs
B. 95 has OBD 1 giving more freedom with exaust and ecu mods. 1 oxygen sensor.
c. Switchable traction control
d. Depreciated to point that you can be a little careless.
