vw 87C switch i found was 3-pin for 2 speed .... had 15F delta for on vs off. the one I found is is 2-pin 10F delta, like oem saab.
in warm weather, traffic, 82/82 combo, switch closes with very low flow thru ran. would close t-stat, and run 'tll stagnant coolant near switch was about 170F, even if car was moving and capable of natural cooling. the 82/87 combo allows t-stat to open more before fans kick on, gives enough float to avoid needless fan use.
