To do the ET 40 to ET 20 offset, you'd have to add metal to the mounting surface. That's why we're all using spacer here!!

A rim with an ET of 40mm doesn't fit(sits to close on the inside)but when that 8mm spacer is added to the rear of it, it pushes the rim away from the hub, and makes the rim fit as if it only had an ET of 32.

Again, we added metal and those Corona's haven't effected you one bit.
