You are correct in that 3d control is needed. On a 1s you normally will not inject until 3/4 of max boost. With the 2d we can start at 5psi. On the 2d we tie into the injector pulse signal to drive a modulating valve. As the fuel injector duty cycle increase so do the water modulating valve. This gives us a simple way to proportionaly add water with out a lot of work. I sell more water injection for 400hp BMW's than for SAABs.
