This is the basic difference between T5 and T7. On a T5 you would get more power, according to your logic stated above.
On a T7, all that will happen is that you will have slightly better spool-up and lower boost. T7 aims to reach a specific "torque" (actually air mass), and will adapt the boost, ignition and fuel depending on altitude, ambient air temp, fuel quality and so on. The only way to develop more power in a T7 car is by changing hardware AND software. On a T5 car more power can be developed with hardware changes alone (larger exhaust, larger turbo), at least to a certain degree. Albeit not optimized, these changes WILL give an increase in power.
T7 is "a bit" more sophisticated...
