I have both A/F and WB installed in my '87 900T, my $.02:
- A/F is inexpensive (<$60), simple to install, useful for verifying O2 sensor, but wildly inaccurate anywhere away from stoich... if you are running at 20 psi, you need to be at 12-12.5, which is outside the range of the standard A/F-O2 setup. Display is distracting and not very useful under most driving circumstances.
- WB is expensive ($300-400?), need to install new sensor in downpipe, etc., but very useful for tuning. One problem, though, is that unless you are at WOT, the ecu is always keeping the A/F at 14.7. But if you are driving while you are at wot & 20 psi, watching the WB display is a great way to have an accident... tuning/adjusting on a dyno is a much safer way to go, OR, use a logging device while you are driving and view results later from a pc...
- don't know about egt's...
