The engines don't really care if it's anything from a 30wt to a 60wt, but the turbos like the protective film of heavier oils for their 100k+ rpm bearings. I like a minimum of a 40wt in my Saabs, turbo or not.

My current favorites are Mobil 1 0W-40 & 15W-50, Mobil's Delvac 1 5W-40, & Shell's Rotella T Syn 5W-40. If I lived in an area which never saw winter temps below freezing, I'd use only M1 15W-50 year round. Colder than that & any of the other choices are great for year round protection. All of the Mobil oils are durable & will provide turbo protection well beyond 10k miles between changes. The Rotella syn is a bit less expensive & not made from the same high-end components as the Mobil stuff, so I'm not sure how far beyond 10k miles it will go, but it will offer excellent protection at a more affordable price.
